| Staving off the blankness |

I ended up with quite a bit of Ween on my iPod, as part of a large aquisition of random music from a friend of a friend. After some time spent listening, I have come to the conclusion that I, as a general rule, do not like Ween at all. Each one of their songs seems to be in a different style or genre, but it doesn't sound at all as if they're doing this because they actually like all of these styles and genres and want to show their love of music and so forth. Instead, it sounds like they want to mock and show disdain for all of these different kinds of music. Seriously, every one of their songs sounds sarcastic to me, like they're making fun of and hating the music they're making as they're making it. It's not a pleasant experience at all. Not to mention the fact that their lyrics are often also sarcastic, disgusting, or juvenile.
Yep, I'm giving a big thumbs down to Ween. |
