Wiimpotence |
by Fëanor |
I thought achieving Pro status in the various Wii Sports would be a long and difficult task, but once it was achieved, I sort of assumed that that would be it - I would be done. I would be able to sit calmly and happily on my mighty throne of Pro-ness.
It turns out, not so much. In fact, the hardest part about Wii Sports turns out to be keeping your Pro status once it's attained. If you ever play that sport again, you'll find yourself up against very tough pro opponents, and if you do poorly, down goes your skill level and poof! There goes your little "pro" and your pretty shiny ball and your bigger audience and your feelings of adequacy.
All of which is to say, IIRC, I'm no longer pro in anything anymore. This makes me sad.
Does this mean I should get pro and then just stop playing that sport forever more? Or perhaps switch to another Mii who hasn't gone pro yet?
No! That's the coward's way out. And anyway what would be the point of going pro if it would mean you couldn't play that game anymore?
Still, it is a bit of a dilemma. Especially since I just seem to be getting worse and worse at bowling somehow... |
