Here are the comics I'll be considering purchasing tonight:
NOVA #2 - Heard this was an interesting new book. Looks like they're taking a lame superhero and making him more important. He's come back from a huge intergalactic war that killed everybody else in his group and now he's fallen right into the aftermath of Marvel Civil War. Looks like he'll face off against Iron Man in this issue. Neat!
PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL #7 - He's going to put on that Captain America costume soon, I think. This might be the issue. Heard the writer of this book is good, and I'm fascinated by The Punisher.
ULTIMATE POWER #5 - JMS is writing, and the story sounds crazy. Huge war between universes or something.
WORLD WAR HULK PROLOGUE: WORLD BREAKER #1 - This one sounds like the comics equivalent of a clip show, wherein the Hulk reminisces about other huge battles he's been in before getting into a brand new one. But hey, at this point, I really need a clip show to get me up to date.
THE BATMAN STRIKES! #33 - Poison Ivy makes Bruce into young Bruce, and he has to fight her as a little kid. Art looks cool, interesting story.
GREEN ARROW #74 - Wait, Green Arrow was elected mayor? And now the city knows all his secrets? Uh, that's interesting!
JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED #33 - Looks like a weird story about some lesser known heroes in the League. Could be interesting.
GREEN LANTERN CORPS VOL. 1: TO BE A LANTERN - A collection of the first six issues of this new book. I'm fascinated by the Green Lantern Corps, and I like collections that can catch me up on ongoing series, so...
INCREDIBLE HULK #106 - This one's supposed to be good. Lots of smashing. Plus it's the start of another of those supposedly universe-changing story arcs. |
