High anxiety (or, puppy blood) |
by poppy |
I have been shaking since ten o'clock this morning. At first I thought it was the caffeinated coffee I was given by mistake at Starbuck's this morning, but even my caffeine deprived body shouldn't react that badly. After my second teen novel of the afternoon, I switched on the news and realized: I have been burying my fear of this election for I don't know how long, and the gig is up. Short of one of the candidates slitting a puppy's throat and drinking its blood on national television tonight, the die has been cast.
Or so I thought.
One station I flipped to was reporting a poll that says that 93% of voters know who they are going to vote for. Think about that. So, follow me here: 7% of registered voters are not yet sure who to vote for.
What the fuck are they waiting for? Puppy-blood drinking? |
