- Scientists have found a planet where they believe it rains rocks. "The atmosphere 'is made up of the ingredients of rocks and when "a front moves in," pebbles condense out of the air and rain into lakes of molten lava below.'"
- Paul Pope adapts a scene from Dune in Wednesday Comics style, and also discusses what it was like drawing and writing for the Wednesday Comics format. I so want to see a full adaptation of the novel done this way! Make it so, Pope!

I don't know the story, but io9 explains that it's pretty much the same as every other Philip K. Dick story: it turns out the reality you know is a lie!! But somehow Hollywood is going to turn this into a "modern love story." Gack!

- Woody Allen says he gives a movie a title only when it's finished, and he makes the title aggressive and confident if he thinks it's good, and low-key if he think it's no good. Can't say I agree with NY Mag's analysis of the aggressiveness of his various titles (Love and Death seems like a pretty aggressive and confident title to me), or its estimation of the quality of his movies (Purple Rose of Cairo is definitely one of my favorite Allen films).
