Two Completely Unrelated Things |
by Fëanor |
- This article, which I found via Salon, really kind of blows my mind:
In a twist that is likely to raise a few eyebrows in Washington, Iraq's great political survivor Ahmad Chalabi - first the darling and then the scapegoat of the Bush Administration - will take the hotly-contested post of Oil Minister on an interim basis. I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry.
- This place in Jersey called Appel Farm is having an arts & music festival. I like Aimee Mann and Rufus Wainwright, but I don't like them enough to go to this by myself. Still, I thought some of you folks might be interested. And if enough of you decide to go, I'll probably end up tagging along. (The link is courtesy poppy, btw, who sadly is busy that day and cannot make it.)
