Is it worth it? |
by poppy |
I bought some cutie yarn to make my favorite little imp a soft sweater for next fall (I'm becoming more realistic with my knitting schedules), and after looking at the pattern I'm feeling, how you say, a bit discouraged. I'm discouraged despite the fact that I selected a pattern with size 17 needles, something that usually calms me. I've been having this feeling rather a lot lately: I am highly educated, yet somehow things written in my native tounge make little sense to me. I'm wondering whether I should just take a sweater class at Sophie's. I'm trying to decide if it is worth it. Will it make any more sense to me I wonder? Is there some dictionary that translates knit-speak into English? Is this poor kid going to be sweater-less for yet another year? |
