Monsters of Rock

  • The results of another internet personality quiz, via sarcasmoscorner:

Pirate Monkey's Harry Potter Personality QuizHarry Potter Personality Quiz by Pirate Monkeys Inc.

I'd say that's pretty accurate except for the part where I'm supposed to be good at strategy; clearly they've never seen me play Risk. Also, I never thought of myself as being very much like Severus Snape. But I don't know, let me try something.

    Ahem.

That's 20 points from Gryffindor, Potter!

Huh. That did feel kind of good. Hmmm...

  • From the black cauldron that is the website of one Yagathai, I pull forth this story about an ice lake on Mars. There's even a damn picture. Of a lake on Mars. Holy crap, people!

I hope to be able to buy bottled Mars alien bacteria off of the NASA website very soon.

  • Sarcasmo's other, truer corner offers us many goodies today, including this odd "Choose Your Own Adventure" viral marketing finger puppet movie from Virgin Mobile. Yes, I know that sounds weird, and yes, it is weird. But it's also quite funny. If you go back and try other paths once you get to the end, you won't regret it.

  • Another Sarcasmo-sourced link is this one which promises us that Netflix is even closer to releasing that whole internet downloadable movie feature they've been talking about ever since they became a company. For some reason, I'm finding it necessary to work myself into getting excited about this. I guess I'm just comfortable with the way Netflix works now, and fear change. Plus, I don't really need my movies to get to me faster; I can hardly keep up with them as it is now.

  • This "Batman"-inspired Shakespeare bust that doubles as a secret switch (also found via Sarcasmo) is definitely fricking awesome, though. If anybody wants to donate me the $300 necessary to purchase it, I am ready and willing to accept via PayPal or wadded cash in an envelope.

  • I feel like I had something else to offer you, but nothing is coming to mind, so I'm getting out of here. Peace.
