Monkeys in a Parenthetical Jungle

Should this post's title be the new title for the blog? Probably not. I do kind of like it, though.

This is pretty amusing - somebody tested out Microsoft Word's AutoCorrect feature and noticed a certain unsurprising bias toward a certain game console...

Apparently there's a strange little community of people devoted to writing stories about wrapping Roy Orbison in cling film. Here's the possible origin website for this craze, an excellent example of the art, and the inevitable LJ community.

I'm not sure if this is the weirdest thing I've ever come across. But it's definitely pretty close.

I'm almost ashamed to admit the amount of joy that was brought to me by this cover of the complete soundtrack to Super Mario World (via my new favorite video game news site, Joystiq). I downloaded the whole thing in a 12.9 MB zip file, and I suggest you do the same. It is quality work, my friends.
