Bleary Blobs of Blab |

- Well, Backwards City, I think a more meaningful and less hurtful conclusion to come to here would be that women are more comfortable with their sexuality, and more likely to be...how to put it...omnivorous. But if you prefer "Women Are Dirty," then so be it.
- We have our Bond, now how about a villain? Word is, it might be Seal. He'd be playing a South African money launderer named Solari, to be exact. I don't know how Seal is as an actor (and I don't think anybody else does, either, for that matter), but for some reason I really like the idea of him in this part. It could work!
- Oh, man, I feel for this poor chump. I've totally done something like that before on eBay, although not with such an expensive item. And it may not be false advertising exactly, but that seller is a sneaky, cold-hearted bastard. (Via babyraven)
- I absolutely loved Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's Shaun of the Dead on every level, so I'm definitely interested in the next project by those guys. Turns out it's going to be a wacky comedy called Hot Fuzz, about mismatched cops in a backwater town. They say it's going to be "like a British Shane Black movie." After looking over Shane Black's filmography...I hope they're kidding.
- More rumors on the next Trek movie! It could be set in a mirror universe (is that the mirror universe, from the classic episode "Mirror, Mirror," oh please, oh please??) in which, for some reason, various captains of the Enterprise throughout history will be able to meet and frolic together (sort of like the anomaly thing in Generations?). Anyway, the point is, this could mean Shatner will be back, not to mention Scott Bakula and Patrick Stewart. Wild.
I'm kind of excited about this. I mean, I could see it going horribly, horribly awry, too, but still...Shatner! Trek! Woo!
- Here's some early word on an upcoming indie film called Gardener of Eden. It's a dark comedy that's set to star a trio of talented young actors (Lukas Haas, Giovanni Ribisi, and Erika Christensen), and it's about a fella who rescues a damsel in distress by accident, and then dedicates himself to becoming a modern-day hero. Huh. Could be fun.
