Targs and Torque, Volume Two |
by Fëanor |
- Yay! Jet Li's Fearless has been picked up for distribution in America! It's the story of martial arts legend Huo Yuanjia, who I've personally never heard of, but who cares! It's got Jet Li fighting guys!
Of course, I said that about The One, too... But this time, it'll be different. Right?
- Famous American actor Joaquin Phoenix got in a car accident a while ago. Luckily, famous German director Werner Herzog was there to help. No lie. That's crazy stuff. Like the Cinematical author says, I hope Herzog is there to calm me down if I ever get in an accident. Maybe OnStar should hire him or something.
- There's such a thing as liking Pac-Man too much. (Not necessarily work safe; view in such an environment at your own risk.) (Via Joystiq)
- Some more details on Quentin Tarantino's and Robert Rodriguez's '70s horror exploitation-style double feature film, Grind House. Rodriguez's half will be called Project Terror and will be a zombie flick shot in Austin. Tarantino's will be a slasher called Death Proof. Sandwiched between each half of the film will be an intermission consisting of commercials and trailers in the same exploitation style.
I can imagine certain people grimacing at this description, but I've been really excited about this project since I first read the vague concept a ways back. I can't wait until this comes out.

- The Obakemono Project is a wonderful illustrated encyclopedia of Japanese folk monsters. The creatures are fascinating, and the illustrations are beautiful. Check it out! (Via Drawn!)
