- This video short which covers what happens between Tron and Tron: Legacy, as well as a bit of what happens after the end of Tron: Legacy, is a bit cheesy, like anything Tron-related, but also rather fun and cleverly done.
- The "Making Game of Thrones" blog has started a series of video features on the various noble houses. First up, naturally, is House Stark. Plus, there's another awesome, awesome trailer for the show as a whole.
- Here's a dude who buys boring landscape paintings at yard sales and then adds monsters to them. Excellent.
- I can't be the only one who thinks this teaser trailer for the new Conan the Barbarian is terrible. Seriously, it's like a parody of bad action movie trailers, complete with a "THIS SUMMER" opening and a ridiculously growly-voiced narrator. Plus it shows you absolutely nothing, and the dialog is terrible.
- In case you haven't seen it yet, the trailer for Super 8 is really worth watching. This looks and sounds like vintage Spielberg.
- A very colorful car crash: a truck carrying 8,000 gallons of printer ink flipped and busted open, spilling various colors of ink all over the road.
- Super Mario Bros. with more realistic sound effects. (Via)
- A couple of sets of micro-scale LEGO vehicles.
- Another amusing Super Punch image roundup.
- The iPhantom Zone.
- Oh hey, Facebook has finally expanded @ tagging to comments (which we all thought it should have had in the first place).
- It only costs $50 to spend three hours in the Batman suite. And you know what hourly rates means! It means Bat-sexy time.
- After I saw Moon, I was really excited to see what director Duncan Jones would do next. I was a little disappointed in the first trailer for his follow-up, Source Code, but this review is promising.
- I absolutely love this idea: adding tiny doors to boring facades.
- Lots of wonderful art is up for sale online to benefit Ghana.
- Stephen King wrote another Dark Tower book! It's called The Wind Through the Keyhole and it's set between Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla.

- Another fun clip from Red.
- I've mostly gotten tired of the endless top 10 lists on the web, but I rather enjoyed this list of the top 10 evil geeks in the movies.
- A couple of fun Captain Marvel illustrations.
- Rather amusing computer-animated short that tells the story of why Jabba put that price on Han Solo's head in the first place.
- Using SCIENCE to compare apples and oranges. It can be done!
- Andrew Garfield has been cast as Spider-Man in the reboot, and he is truly fucking honored. Meanwhile, Hilary Duff may be Gwen Stacy.
- Clint Eastwood says he was offered the role of Superman in his youth, but turned it down because it wasn't for him. Also, he reveals his favorite comic book character: The Sub-Mariner. Nice pick!
- Trailers! Here's a new one for Monsters. Looks like it could be fun. And here's a trailer for a completely different kind of sci-fi movie: Never Let Me Go. That one looks fascinating, and brutal.
- I already mentioned this on my Twitter, but it's so exciting I'm linking it again here: Ron Howard and his team are adapting Stephen King's amazing Dark Tower novels as a trilogy of movies and a TV series. It sounds crazy and new and awesome.
- Set pics from Captain America and X-Men: First Class. They feature, respectively, Cap and Emma Frost in costume. Exciting!
- Previous previews of the Tron Legacy soundtrack were apparently fake and unofficial, but this is apparently official and totally for real. (Via)
- A NSFW gallery of witch pin-ups. Enjoy!
- I posted a while back that Natalie Portman might save Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, but apparently it was just a rumor. Bummer.
- Supposed Ghost Rider 2 plot details. For some reason I'm still hopeful this will be a good movie.
- Fun bear-, moose-, and jackalope-related art.
- Awesome bumper stickers for parents of gamer children. I will have to make sure Griff earns one or more of these.
- Martin Freeman, who plays Watson on BBC's Sherlock, might play Bilbo in The Hobbit. Assuming they ever really make that movie. Sigh.
- Bruce Campbell's concept for The Expendables of horror sounds kind of brilliant.
- Very cool surreal paintings.
- Cosplay! Gotta love it.
- Very cool poster for Moon.
- A Simpson-ized version of the Black Knight. Exceedingly geeky!

- Sculptures of superheroes emphasizing their human fragility.
- I wasn't really all that excited about Jonah Hex, but this trailer is pretty damn fantastic. Plus, Broyles is in the movie, as Hex's Q! Sort of.
- Sounds like J.J. Abrams is hoping to collaborate with Steven Spielberg on a film project that would be similar to Spielberg's old classics, focusing on regular people dealing with extraordinary events.
- A replica of the communicator from Star Trek II.
- A Venn diagram of candy.
- Star of District 9, Sharlto Copley, talks a little about potential sequels and prequels.
- More news on a possible adaptation of Stephen King's Dark Tower: supposedly a new deal is being struck wherein Akiva Goldsman would write one or more feature films that Ron Howard would direct and Goldsman and Brian Grazer would produce, and then the film or films would be followed up with a TV series that would continue the story. Seems like a weird concept, but then again, the story is so gigantic and long, it's hard to see how they could cover the whole thing except via a TV show. That being said, the inclusion of Goldsman worries me. He's written some movies and TV shows that I've really enjoyed (including some great episodes of Fringe), but he's also written some of the worst movies I've ever seen (Batman & Robin anyone?). (Via)
- Cinematical posted a fun news roundup early this morning. Jean-Pierre Jeunet would like to make a live-action, 3D film; Doug Liman may direct a Joel and Ethan Coen script for a remake of a 1966 heist film called Gambit (which is interesting - I thought they always directed their own scripts); and finally, click through for a trailer for Black Death, a movie about knights versus necromancers starring Sean Bean.
- UPDATE: The first official picture of Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Pretty cool. (Via)
