- LOLDinosaur!
- I'm kind of in love with Dan Hipp, you guys.
- In a recent comic book, Superman renounced his American citizenship, declaring himself a citizen of the world. Which makes sense to me, given how he's always facing off against potentially world-shattering threats and doesn't limit his patrols to one country. It didn't seem like that big a deal to me, actually - it's really more of a stunt that probably won't change much - but for whatever reason, the news blew up into the mainstream media and upset a lot of people (most of them conservative idiots, apparently). More importantly, it led to the creation of an inspired hashtag on Twitter.
- This has to be one of the best YouTube videos ever: every one of Hudson's lines from Aliens. (You should already know this, but the audio is NSFW.)
- I'm pretty sure I linked to this site before, ages ago, but it's worth another link: Hobbitish, featuring Hobbit-related art from around the world. (Via)
- The next James Bond film is getting about one-third of its funding from product placement: a whopping, record-breaking $45 million. I'm looking forward to the scene where Bond has a refreshing Mountain Dew instead of his signature martini.
- Check out the Geek Zodiac. I'm a Daikaiju. Godzilla FTW! (Via)
- Here is a website devoted to Fox Mulder's wristwatch. Yes, all it is is pictures and video of the character wherein his watch is visible. Somehow, even after all these years on the internet, things like this can still blow my mind. The rabbit hole is deep, my friends. (Via)
- Heh. Apparently a new Green Lantern display made to draw people into comic shops can occasionally catch fire. Definitely eye-catching!
- Details on Shatner's deleted scene in the 2009 Star Trek film.
- On May 15th, the Wii is dropping to $150, and will come bundled with Mario Kart and the Wii Wheel. Guess it's time to dump all those extra consoles now that Wii 2 is on the way!
- I enjoy Portal Tetris.
- Somebody's going for The Most Bad-Ass Tattoo Ever Award: a T-Rex with chainsaw arms!!

- Dan Hipp does another Tintin mashup, this time with Tron.
- I love the work of remix artist Pogo. Here he (she?) takes on the extremely weird H.R. Pufnstuf.
- The Onion A.V. Club gives a surprisingly positive review of the new Mortal Kombat. Now I'm intrigued!
- More cool posters on Reelizer: Inception and Star Wars.
- Cool vintage behind-the-scenes image from the making of the original Star Trek TV series.
- Nintendo has officially announced that the successor to the Wii console will be released in 2012. The company goes on to say it'll already have a playable version ready for this year's E3 in June. So by next year, I will no longer own a "next gen" console - just a last gen one. I'll be out of the loop! Until Griffin demands whatever the newest thing is, of course, and I'll have no choice to meet his demands. No choice, I tell you!
- Amusing buttons.
- Classy animated gifs. No, really! (Via)
- Clever ad that only becomes visible when wet.
- LEGO, pirate version of Shuttle Tyderium.
- If you "like" My Morning Jacket's Facebook page, you can listen to a couple of tracks off their upcoming album, Circuital. "Holdin' on to Black Metal" is pretty damn fantastic.
- I'm usually not a huge fan of papercraft, but this papercraft replica of Howl's moving castle is impressive.

- You can buy actual versions of fake products from the virtual world of NCIS. The farting hippo is great, but outrageously expensive. What's really tempting is the Caf-Pow. (Via poppy)
- Craig Ferguson, the robot Geoff Petersen, Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, puppets, and friends perform Modern English's "I Melt With You." Utterly ridiculous.
- Looks like we finally know why the honeybees are all dying off. So I guess sci-fi shows have to stop making up crazy reasons for that.
- Pride And Prejudice And Zombies just lost its director and its star, and Gravity is also without its main actress again. Poor movies.
- Looks like a pretty clever coffee cup holder.
- Firefly reunion on the set of Chuck! Aww. *sniff*
- Hilarious video imagines what it must be like to be Nicolas Cage's agent.
- A new, longer trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Wow! Apparently I don't remember that book at all.
- A schoolgirl wrote a letter to Johnny Depp asking for help with a mutiny, and he showed up at her school in full Jack Sparrow regalia. Pretty awesome.
- Need a quick, cheap Halloween costume? Super Punch is hooking you up with links to a ton of downloadable masks.
- Great Star Wars/Calvin and Hobbes mashup T-shirt. Speaking of Star Wars, here's the "Imperial Minigolf Final Exam."
- On November 11th, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., Nintendo will release a limited-edition Mario-red version of its Wii console in Japan. It will include an exclusive version of the game with altered graphics. Nintendo doesn't seem to have revealed what all the alterations will be, but click through for a screenshot featuring item blocks with the number 25 written on them.
- The title kind of says it all, but nevertheless, here is the (NSFW) trailer for Nude Nuns with Big Guns.
- Dude, this is amazing news: a new supergroup called Wild Flag has come to life, comprised of Mary Timony of Helium, Rebecca Cole of The Minders, and - most importantly as far as I'm concerned - Janet Weiss and Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney!! Sleater-Kinney is sort of back! Wild Flag's Facebook page is here. Woo hoo!
- Audio from a 1950s educational film strip about how to go out on a date is mashed up with footage from Star Wars in this brilliant and hilarious video.
- Velma's back - and she wants revenge!!
- Wow. I thought Secretariat looked like it might be an okay, if cliched, inspirational sports drama, but it sounds awful.

- In the movie Captain America will have two costumes: his public-appearance, USO suit, and his practical fighting suit. The former will be similar to the costume we're used to seeing on him; the latter will be quite different. You can find a description here. Another Marvel-related tidbit: Josh "Sawyer" Holloway of Lost fame might have a lead role in an upcoming Marvel film.
- Probably you've already seen the terrifying, mind-blowing photos of the gigantic sinkhole in Guatemala, which seems to look down into the very core of the Earth, but just in case you haven't...
- A couple of fun Ren and Stimpy illustrations.
- A new plot summary for the Green Lantern film refers to only one villain, and it's neither of the guys that have been mentioned so far. In fact, it's Parallax. Hopefully this is not really the official plot synopsis, because it would mean they're trying to cover too many characters and too much story in one movie. Plus, I'm just not a huge fan of Parallax.
- These Mario Kart RC toys sound amazing. They can actually pick up power-ups and use them on each other!
- Speaking of Mario, check out this amazing gameplay trailer for the fan-made game Super Mario Bros. X. It's like a combination of every Mario game ever, with tons of crazy new power-ups thrown in for good measure, and even some levels where Mario invades other games, like Metroid, Super Metroid, and Legend of Zelda 2!
- Clever Star Wars art.
- A custom NES with Tron stylings, and My Little Pony versions of Hellboy characters. (Via)
- A blog is asking for art submissions to help celebrate Captain Picard Day on June 16th. Also, clever, cute redesigns of the Scooby gang. (Via)
- Super Punch reveals all the submissions to, and winners of, a recent Red Sonja art contest.

- Good lord. They're going to remake the horrible MST3K Sasquatch film The Legend of Boggy Creek.
- Sounds like Bryan Singer directing X-Men: First Class isn't a done deal after all.
- Olivia Munn's original cameo in Iron Man 2 ended up being a bit too lighthearted for the film's dark tone, so they cut it out, made her an entirely different character, and shot all new scenes with her. Still no word on who she's playing, though.
- NBC just announced a new show called Camelot which will be a contemporary retelling of the King Arthur legend, written by Torchwood's former showrunner.
- Nintendo's making a DS that has 3D! And you don't need glasses to see it! How that works I don't know, but it sounds cool.
- Guile is guilty of vandalism, and there's video proof!
- Chainable USB plugs!
- Cute Star Wars illustrations.
- Here's a trailer for Blue People: The Movie.
- Wow! Warner Bros. wouldn't let Louis Leterrier make Clash of the Titans until he wrote two other movies and promised them a trilogy! They really love the franchises there.
- A review of Red Steel 2. Joystiq says it's not really a hardcore FPS, and focuses really strongly on swordplay, which sounds good to me!
- Hamlet: The Video Game is on the way. Damn it, that was my idea!
- Pretty clever James Bond/Duck Hunt mashup T-shirt. (Via)
- Cool head-shaped sculpture/building in a forest, and excellent Princess Mononoke cosplay.
- Scream 4 is finally really moving forward, maybe, with Wes Craven, Kevin Williamson, and the major cast members all on board.
- A 3D Popeye movie??
- Another fun illustration for A Wrinkle in Time.
- Nice Street Fighter II tattoo!
- You may think a bouquet of red roses says love, but no! The true symbol of love is a bouquet of bacon.
- A sweet Batmobile limo and a cool list of the top five expanded universe Star Wars stories, which includes one of my favorite episodes of Clone Wars. (Via)
- Hey, nice art. (Via)
