Elements of Style
 by Fëanor

  • Not only is there going to be another Highlander movie--there's going to be three more. Good God, why?! Don't get me wrong, I love the concept behind these movies, and I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. But 2 was an abomination, 3 was pointless, and 4 was just embarrassing. And where the hell can they go with the story now, anyway?

  • Salon linked to an interview on Suicide Girls, which led me to another, different interview on Suicide Girls, this one a particularly lengthy--but very interesting and enjoyable--dialogue with Frank Miller. (Be warned, Suicide Girls has some...adult photography. I don't think there's anything too naughty on this particular page, but it still may be best not to read this at work.)

  • It's been a while since I posted a link to a Penny Arcade comic, so here are links to two: first of all, today's installment, in which Gabe uses the name of a relatively obscure Star Wars character (well, it's more the name than the character that's obscure) as an expletive (what a geektastic thing to do! I wish I'd thought of it first), and a much older episode (you can tell from the more "classical" representations of the characters) about Gabe's sudden and most disturbing pantslessness. I'll admit, I didn't actually dig out that old episode myself; Tycho mentioned it in today's news post because it connects to today's comic, in so far as both are about a strange continuing feud between our heroic duo and the EB game store. Anyway, the latter comic is simply fantastic--a classic example of top grade Penny Arcade work. But you should check them both out, for fun.

  • Um, why the hell am I still at work? I could have left 15 minutes ago! The things I do for you people. And only six of you commented on the "do you read me" meme! Sigh.
