Gnus 4 U
 by Fëanor

  • If it's wrong to think that a film about an evil woman seducing other young women in order to kill them and bathe in their blood, thus gaining immortality, is incredibly HOT, then I don't want to be right! Thank you, Eternal, and thank you, Sarcasmo, for this link.

This movie is actually "based" on the "true" story of the Countess Elizabeth Bathory, but of course it's also updated to modern times and is in all other ways quite silly looking. Still, and I can't emphasize this enough, HOT. I will most certainly have to go see it.

  • Monkey turns pickpocket in Hunan - I just said it had been a while since I linked to a Monkeys in the News post, and here I am doing it twice in a row, practically. I bet the guy in this story thought and hoped he'd never have to say of a monkey--or of anyone, for that matter--"Oh my God, he is eating my money!"

  • This movie sounds amazing to me. Good old Werner Herzog. I really need to check out Grizzly Man, too, one of these days.

  • Tom the Dancing Bug (in my opinion the only decent comic in Salon) is particularly funny today. Check it out if you get the chance.

  • Btw, I know you were all waiting desperately for news on where I ended up coming down on The Mars Volta and Frances the Mute, so I'll tell you: after three or four listens, I've decided that...wait for it...I really like it! Well, it's maybe a bit uneven, but the first couple tracks are definitely excellent, and bits of the album have been stuck in my head since yesterday. I'll probably put it in for another listen today.
